Regulatory
Yield
Slow down and give the right of way; stop if you must.
What it means
A yield sign is a downward-pointing red-and-white triangle. It tells you that other traffic and pedestrians have the right of way and that you must give way to them before entering.
What to do
Slow down as you approach and be ready to stop. Enter only when you can do so without forcing anyone else to brake or swerve.
